Cesena
A city to read
A refined city that stretches between sea and hills. This is a city to be discovered by perusing its ancient and historically valuable manuscripts, with their fine miniatures, and by exploring its rich cultural heritage and culinary delights.
Once home to writers, singers and popes, Cesena is still haunted by the ghost of the nobleman who led the city to its present glory. The Biblioteca (Library) and the Rocca Malatestiana (Malatesian Fortress) are the surviving legacy of Malatesta Novello. An ancient city that has become contemporary.
Explore Cesena with a walk through its historic centre and marvel at its elegant streets, Palazzi and exquisite, priceless landmarks, like the Masini fountain, the Bonci Theatre, the Loggetta Veneziana, the Torrione del Nuti and the Cathedral of St John the Baptist.
If, on the other hand, you prefer a day at the museum, you can enjoy the artistic, natural or musical heritage by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage, Biblioteca Malatestiana, the Musicalia museum, housed in Villa Silvia, the Museum of Agriculture or the Museum of Natural Sciences.
