In Bagno di Romagna, a stone’s throw from the town centre, you will find a trail perfect for young and old alike, immersed in the magic of the National Park of the Casentinesi Forest.
This enchanting place combines a fairy-tale atmosphere with the importance of environmental education: a perfect combination of nature and legend.
A magical world of fairy tales
The trail is designed to transport visitors to a world populated by gnomes and forest creatures: along a circular route of about 2 km, you can venture into the woods of the Armina stream, where nature blends with imaginative details: wooden bridges crossing sparkling streams, stone sculptures depicting animals and magical creatures, wooden houses, and animal silhouettes perfect for stimulating the curiosity and imagination of children.
A place where nature is respected and its secrets are known
The Sentiero degli Gnomi – Gnomes Trail is not only an enchanted walk in a magical place, but also an educational opportunity: the experience is designed to teach children (and adults too!) the importance of respecting nature and learning about local species such as deer, fallow deer, squirrels and many other animals that inhabit the area.

Don’t miss a visit to the Idro Ecomuseum, entirely dedicated to water, with themed rooms and interactive educational tools.

Marmitte dei giganti
Sarsina
A short walk from the historic centre of Sarsina, you can reach the beautiful Marmitte dei Giganti park:
Here, for thousands of years, the powerful waters of the stream have carried debris that, through erosion, has carved out curious cavities in the sandstone rock. This is how the Marmitte dei Giganti were created, which the imagination of children and adults alike sees as enormous pots that giants used to heat their food!
Lake Quarto
Sarsina
A few kilometers from Sarsina lies Lake Quarto, a true natural paradise perfect for a beautiful walk.
You can walk with your family along a circular route that allows you to explore hidden and spectacular areas: from the lake shore to stretches of flooded forest or reed beds, which can be crossed by fords made of cyclopean boulders, wooden walkways and ancient embankments recovered as floating rafts, respecting the fauna and the delicate ecosystem present.
You can cross the lake by canoe and even by pedal boat, for the enjoyment of the whole family!

On the farm with donkeys
Spend a few hours away from time in the rolling hills of Sarsina, in the presence of His Majesty the Donkey and his friend the Alpaca, animals of unique sensitivity and… “humanity” It is a way to reconnect with the healthy rhythms of nature and be guided by the ancient wisdom of animals.
You will go for a walk to discover the area, the farm, and its inhabitants, guided by an expert farmer, but above all by a friendly, affectionate, and intelligent quadruped that is much more than meets the eye.
This unique experience will end with a delicious snack/tasting based on the farm’s products.
Villa Silvia-Carducci

Ten minutes by car from the historic centre, in the foothills of Cesena, stands Villa Silvia-Carducci. This large and refined 18th-century villa can be visited via a route that starts from the Talking Garden surrounding the villa and continues into the bedroom, still intact, used by the Nobel Prize Italian poet Giosuè Carducci.
Fun is guaranteed for the whole family in the villa: in the inside, you will find the Museo Musicalia, where you can listen to many truly strange musical instruments that play by themselves! From Leonardo Da Vinci’s mechanical drum to tiny music boxes, huge fairground organs, violins and pianos played by mechanical fingers, and authentic antique robots.
